In this addition of Inktober there are decidedly less drawings but overall more of them are Deep Space Nine characters. Enjoy!
Well since I draw in pen anyway I figured I would participate in Inktober. Pens have ink, it counts. Unfortunately I suck at doing things “daily” so I’m a bit behind. If I don’t do all 31 drawings it’s okay right?
Here’s what I have so far.
Sometimes if you don’t know what to do you can just making shapes and scribbles until it turns into something, in this case it turned into a dust bunny.
My cat, Sam. He is the obvious muse.
Weird hand drawing but the pen is great.
Finally, I’ve been watching DS9, here is Captain Sisko.
Last week I had a strange and vivid dream. In the dream I watched as catastrophe overtook Toronto. As disturbing as that was, I remember feeling even more awful because as that was happening, it was my birthday.
Sometimes the only response is to just draw the thing.
There ya have. Toronto gets totaled by a giant tidal wave. Unlikely but hey it’s my dream.
FYI, my birthday is October 4th. Get a boat. Lol
Trying to figure out what to post every week is making me draw a lot more, even though I hardly have any spare time. I find a way!
I did this sketch a long time ago and hated it. Recently I took a bunch of markers and went over it and it’s much better.
My new sketchbook is small and filled with tracing paper and comes with a grid card.So far I’m enjoying it.
It looks really interesting with the drawings layered up like this.
Back to the Moleskin and my favourite pass time, blind contours.
I had some left over decorative paper that I coloured over and used to cover up a horrible drawing haha.
That’s all for now.
I recently got invited to collaborate with Vida Clothing to turn my paintings into wearable art. I know this isn’t something new and revolutionary and I wasn’t even interested at first until I realized I can finally do something with my obsessive flower painting! Oh, Florals are not your jam? Don’t worry I have plans for other designs in the near future. But for now check out what I have up!
Vida sent me codes that expires quickly to celebrate the launch of my new collection.

Here’s a preview of some of the items available.
It might surprise you to find out that I don’t have a very active social life so when I do find the time to step away from my work I try to make the most of it. For this reason I always try to have some form of note/sketchbook with me at all times.
I was on my way to the other end of city last week for a drink with a friend and I left with enough time to still be prompt even if the TTC was messed up like it usually is. Except on this trip everything was running perfectly and I arrived an hour early. So naturally I chilled at the nearest Starbucks. I was annoyed I didn’t have my sketchbook but I did have my emergency fieldnotes and pen and luckily I had one blank spread left.
Today I journeyed to Queen West to one of favourite galleries Graven Feather Gallery and I thought since I was making the trip I would hang in Trinity Bellwood’s Park and draw. There was a lot of trees, “young people” and dogs. I did see the white squirrel though. That was AWESOME.
There ya go! I’m officially entered-ish. Now to put literally all other artwork on hold until I finish these. This is their forth annual In The Round. The last time I participated was when they first put it on! Here is a link to the works.
Every once in a while I crack open my sketchbook and I try to draw. Lately I’ve been drawing bodies from out of this world. Why? Who knows, I’m a bit of a nerd.
It’s a nebula! I was thinking of the pillars of creation when I did this one. I used water colour pencil and while ink.
Here is a planetary nebula. Don’t know what the difference is? I suggest google, learn something new :)
This is Neptune. I used ballpoint pen. It took me a while because I basically only worked on it 20 mins a day while on my lunch break. I want to eventually do all of our planets in the solar system just because.
Okay that’s it, I love you, bu bye!
