The Evolution

Here we have it, the second part of my flying birds illustration. I’m currently working on some self promotional material and I wanted to do the same image but in my two different illustration styles. First being in ball point pen and now in oil paint. The original purpose of this is for the covers of an online graphic novel I’m working on. Also, no, I have yet to put any of that graphic novel up. My apologies… ANYWAY

waterbirdpencoverHere we have the pen version.

birdsoriginalHere is the painting! It turned out a bit¬†psychedelic…

birds100In fact I found I didn’t like the over all feel of it at all, so I messed around with it digitally and I found this to be a better image for my graphic novel. It sucks that I didn’t paint it like this originally, but oh well. I guess the next thing to do is to design the title onto this. Hmm, maybe some other time. I have a long list of paintings that need some love and attention first!

As a painter and artist I find it hard sometimes to not take my work too seriously, so I created this blog! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. In the mean time, if you are curious as to what else I draw, check out my online portfolio, http://jessicacaissie.com/
